Beautiful, agile, and surprisingly seaworthy, the Adirondack Guide Boat is art in motion. I created my skin-on-frame version in 2008 and instantly fell in love. The Guide Boat is one of those rare watercraft that offers the lightweight and convenient launching of a sea kayak with ergonomics and comfort of a rowboat. Picnics, fishing, camping, or just stranding yourself in a marsh for an afternoon with a good book, the Guideboat lends a feeling of elegance to just about any activity.
Far from the simplicity of a kayak, the skin-guideboat is actually a bit of work which is why I don’t make them very often. Inquire about custom commissions.
