This is just a quick heads up that I’m selling this year’s prototype canoes to make room for the next versions. UPDATE: These canoes are sold.
Like all my prototypes these are priced just a couple hundred dollars more than the cost of materials. The solo is 14’ x 30” x 12” and weighs 30lbs. The tandem is 16’ x 36” x 13” and weighs 42lbs. Cost for either canoe is $700. Both have been used less than 5 times. (I have a chronic illness and can’t really paddle these days).
I want to be clear that these are decent canoes but they aren’t amazing canoes. I enjoyed paddling them but I’m just starting out as a canoe designer, and becoming great at anything takes time. But if you’re looking for a decent canoe at a really good price, these might be a good option for you.
Pricing is for cash if you pick up in Portland, OR. Cost goes up by 200 per boat for checks, credit cards or if I have to ship them. Prototype boats tend to vanished pretty quickly, just FYI.
