One of the ways I try to give back to the world is by offering all of my plans and instructional videos for free to any builder under age 18 or anyone who is a member of a native Arctic tribe. This year we have had quite a few native and kid built boats so I’m going to showcase a few of my favorites.
Francesca built her F1 working beside her dad and brother who built designs from a different builder. Her dad wanted me to know that aside from cutting the initial pieces on the table saw, she did ALL the work herself. They built the kayaks as a family over the course of three weeks building as time permitted.
When the kayaks were complete they took a family kayak camping trip in the San Juan Islands.
