Liz tackles the oar build

I like to joke that Liz is the brains AND the muscle behind Cape Falcon Kayak. Beyond her miraculous ability turn my nearly illegible scribblings into professional looking boat plans, and make me look slightly less dumb on camera, she often steps up to do the hardest physical work that I can’t due to some of the medical issues that I live with.
.
Since we met I’ve been super impressed by her ability to effortlessly pick up almost any mechanical skill. For example, three years ago when she brought me in on a bare studs remodel of a two-story Victorian house I gave her a one day electrical tutorial, and then she rewired the entire house which didn’t pass inspection on the first try, but only because I gave her bad advice on code. She re-wired the kitchen while I grumbled about a call that I STILL maintain the inspector was wrong about! (I could swear that it’s only the countertop outlets in the kitchen that have to be 20 amp, somebody back me up here!)
.
The only apparent downside to being so good at so many things is that she can’t pretend to need me as a handyman anymore.
.
Liz also: manages our YouTube accounts, all 3 websites, tech support for students, color correcting the videos, and product testing whatever potentially life threatening contraption I am building in the shop that month.
.
In short, Liz is constantly bailing to maintain the freeboard while I furiously paddle to keep the overloaded boat of Cape Falcon Kayak moving ever forward. Thanks Liz.
