Video: Slow motion rolling in a Greenland kayak prototype

While lmaking an update video for our YouTube channel i came across this nice slow motion rolling clip from the Greenland kayak prototyping I was doing last year. I recently changed the way I do prototyping work from finishing kayaks and testing them to just building the frames and then shrink wrapping them for testing. On this particular design project this approach allowed me to test 20 variations in the same amount of time it would have taken to build five kayaks to completion. This supercharged the design process and the extra iterations definitely improved the finished product. Interestingly, to do these rolling tests I cut a hole in the saran wrap very similar to the extremely tiny cockpit openings of the original Greenland kayaks and even without a spray skirt I got very little water in the boat.
