Tom paddles his F1 kayak through the sandstone moonscape of Lake Powell. Whether it’s days on the Green River through Canyonlands National Park or lower down on Lake Powell, paddling through slick rock desert has been one of the peak experiences of my life. I’m a little jealous that Tom has it on his doorstep! With this area’s propensity for blasting afternoon winds the F1 doesn’t just handle the conditions, it’s designed for them. Who says you can’t go surfing in the desert?
