Cape Falcon Kayak is donating two canoes to The Weight We Carry, to support their efforts to raise awareness and funds for mental health

Happy to announce today that Cape Falcon Kayak is donating two canoes to The Weight We Carry, to support their efforts to raise awareness and funds for mental health by carrying canoes to unexpected places around the world.
.
Symbolizing the burdens that we all carry, a canoe on a mountain path or city street is an unexpected sight that breaks the ice and helps start conversations about what can be a difficult topic.
.
Started by Canadian brothers Kyle Roberts and Tom Schellenberg, The Weight We Carry is current training for their inaugural journey, portaging canoes on their backs to Mount Everest Base Camp.
.
The 200km expedition is expected to take 20 days to reach an elevation of over 5400 meters. Follow their journey this January 2019 to promote mental health advocacy and help fundraise for the Koshish Women’s Mental Health Transit Centre in Kathmandu, Nepal.
.
Give them a follow at @the_weight_we_carry, and visit their website at theweightwecarry.com, and keep an eye on our feed over he next weeks as we build the two full-size canoes that will head with Tom and Kyle to Nepal.
