Here’s the first part of a longer rolling video I just posted to the Cape Falcon Kayak YouTube channel.
This is the same re-rigged West Greenland replica that I talked about yesterday. The combination of the heavy keel, the retrofitted secondary stringers, and the new fitting system, makes rolling this kayak almost like cheating. Other than doing it for a camera every couple years, I haven’t practiced Greenland rolling in over a decade but this kayak makes me feel like I still have a clue what I’m doing!
We shot this in 60 FPS and then slowed it down by half. Check out the Cape Falcon Kayak YouTube channel for the entire video. It looks a little nicer in wide screen anyways.
