Giovanni’s tandem canoe

Check out this recently completed tandem, built by Giovanni on Bainbridge Island, Washington. I’ll let him describe it in his own words:
.
“I am over the moon today! Just back from the first trip on my new skin on frame tandem canoe. I have started this project back in Dec 22’ and planned to have it completed by mid June, I was only two weeks off target. The canoe not only is beautiful, it handles smoothly, is steady and steers easily. It is very comfortable. I can load it and unload it from my track on my own if necessary.
Tandem canoe 15’-8” x 36” Center Depth 13”1/4Measured sheer eight at 7”1/4 Rocker 2”1/8 Douglas fir gunwales and stringers, White Oak ribs, Port Orford Cedar stems, Western Red Cedar sheer and Ash rub rails, Black Locust seat blocks. Earth Pigment “Natural Yellow” maximum suggested dosage. Copper stems bands.

Thank you Brian for all your work, care and detailed instructions, without it I would have never been able to build such a lovely vessel.”
