After coating the hull with 2 part polyurethane Liz turns the kayak over to coat the deck.
As usual there’s dozens of tricks to make this turn out well, which is why this part of our kayak building video course is so ridiculously detailed. It sucks to work so hard on something only to screw it up in the finishing steps!
Speaking of that, for any of my students who follow me here, we just finished completely re-filming all of our coating instructions to incorporate some new techniques. I’ve completed all the editing, and Liz is going to be doing the color correcting over the next few days. So they should be all new instructions in the course by Monday.
Total work shown in this video is about 2 hours plus 2 hours of waiting time.
