Now that the canoe plans are out, let’s talk variations.

Now that the canoe plans are out, let’s talk variations. Originally designed as a pack canoe system, it expands successfully to full-size solo canoes (minus tumblehome) and there is no reason it can’t extend to full size doubles or even small rower/sailers.
.
There is no possible way I could build all the various canoes that can be built with this system, so I’ve decided to offer free video courses to anyone willing to tackle a new variation.
.
How it works: I will have a running list of canoes I’d like to see built with the system, both of various sizes and various wood species, and if you are the first person to build any of them I will give you a full refund on the cost of your plans as a way to say thank you for helping me work
on the design. I will be happy to work with you on the details of any of these canoes. You can see the list in the sample PDF plan set on the canoe plans, link in profile.
.
The fine print: Refunds will be awarded to the first people to *complete* these canoes. No “reserving” of spaces. We also ask that you document your build in a post on our Student Builds blog (http://builds.capeflconkayaks.com) during or after the build.
.
And for anyone who doesn’t want to tackle one of these designs but is willing to document their build, we offer a $50 refund on your plan purchase if you complete a post on the Student Builds blog.
.
