Quetico Trip Report

“Hi Brian, I saw your email today about the updates to the canoe course and it reminded me that I never sent a report on the trip to the Quetico / Boundary Waters. It was the first long journey with the canoe and it shined! We were in the Quetico for 11 days in May of this year, and navigated everything from large lakes, small unnamed lakes, rivers, and beaver dams. The canoe was a dream to paddle, and it held 2 people, all of our gear, and dog without a problem. It stayed on course during heavy winds and waves, and felt speedy during the quiet morning paddles. We inevitably rammed into unseen boulders and crashed onto shore when approaching a portage, but the skin only shows minimal scratches. All in all it was a wonderful trip that was made even better by paddling a canoe I made over 90 miles through the wilderness. Thanks for everything you do!”
