Video: Here’s that same kayak sailing video from yesterday shot from the front deck

Here’s that same kayak sailing video from yesterday shot from the front deck. Here I’m demonstrating the effect of the flip down skeg on the sailing performance of the F1, more details on that in yesterday‘s post.
.
I really like making these on the water videos but I think I’m gonna scrap this one and wait until the next time I go out to put some serious work into the editing required to turn this sort of thing into a YouTube video. I’ll have more to say at that point anyways.
.
It’s always a little freaky popping up the sail if I haven’t done it in a while. It kind of reminds me of how I used to feel when I would hit the surf again each spring, like: is this really a good idea?
.
From the second the sail goes up it’s constantly bumping up against my balance point and triggering adrenaline, (Picture of someone you can’t see paddling next to you and just reaching out and trying to shove you over at random intervals) it takes a little bit to relax into it and realize that I can still trust my reflexive brace.
.
I’m probably a little too relaxed about this sort of thing and like I said yesterday, taking my hands off the paddle to gesture while talking is a terrible habit! Even more so because a single piece Greenland paddle doesn’t fit on the front deck of the flat deck F1 like it does on the normal version.
.
I’ve got a whole rant about two piece spares that I’ll spare you, for now…
