On the tip of Tillamook Head I run a bouncy slot to find wave protection within a field of sea stacks.
Beautiful and rugged shoreline.
Some exciting geology.
Pelicans
…and Cormorants
For once I don’t have to crash through the surf to stretch my legs. I found this quiet little stretch of sand hidden behind a labyrinth of spires.
The last line of rocks before a 10 mile crossing to the next headland.
On the other side I try to slip by unnoticed, but this large male (as big as a cow!) sea lion sounds the alarm. I know it’s silly but I’m still scared of sea lions.
