Set up, breakdown, and transport matter every bit as much to me as performance on the water. I do everything I can to incorporate deployment efficiency into the design of the boat itself because boats that are quick to deploy are boats that get used more often, plain and simple.
I may have unscrewed a couple of wing nuts to keep this video below the one minute limit, this isn’t too far off from our real life setup or breakdown time. The only exception being when I show up at the dock having forgotten and essential piece of padding equipment at home….
Thanks to Mark of Nomadik Custom Vans for the quick impact driver loan so I could make an on the fly canoe modification. It would have really sucked to drive home! Mark and crew build custom camper vans in the shadow of the magnificent St Johns bridge where we often test our boats.
