
These simple V lashings are a common attachment method on many different traditional Arctic kayaks. The configuration resists movement on all axis and the compression creates a super tight lashing that can still move under extreme forces. This is important because even though the flex of the skin boat is barely perceptible on the water, they do flex with tremendous force that would break a glued connection.
