As I mentioned yesterday for this build I’m recording the actual time spent on each task. If you’re taking my canoe building class doubling these numbers should give you plenty of time to watch the video and complete each step.
Build time in minutes:
25 setting up for mortising
35 mortising 2 sets of gunwales
35 taking measurements
45 filling in worksheets
(End of day 2)
45 installing spreader forms
30 kerfing and tying the gunwale tips
Task time: 3hrs 35min
Total task time so far: 8hrs 15min
