On YouTube: Experimental Skin-on-Frame River Touring Kayak, in Detail

To celebrate the super detailed video we just put up on our YouTube channel talking about the new skin on frame river kayak design I thought I would throw up some GoPro footage I took from the test paddle that isn’t quite good enough for YouTube. Here’s what those peaceful whitewater videos actually look like when you’re on the water! This is literally my first time ever filming Whitewater with a GoPro so I definitely need to make some adjustments to the camera position.

This was an entertaining trip because it’s literally the first time I’ve paddled whitewater in about a decade and I thought I was running the class II section of the river, but it turns out I was actually a bit up into the class III. After throwing a quick roll just to make sure I still could, I bobbed down and around a corner feeling pretty chill before plunging into a hole that momentarily swallowed me and the boat. After a very deep (stupid) high brace I popped back up thinking “Damn, class II is way more serious than I remember!”

Anyways check out that YouTube video:
