Today my friends Tom and Kyle of The Weight We Carry arrived at the Mount Everest base camp with their canoes

Today my friends Tom and Kyle of @the_weight_we_carry arrived at the Mount Everest base camp at 17,598 feet. For the last 20 days they’ve been trekking with 50 lb packs and 30 lb canoes on their heads, completing this astonishing journey to raise money to build a new women’s shelter in Kathmandu, Nepal.
.
Tom and Kyle trained for two years and spent tens of thousands of dollars of their own money to make this trek happen. We were so impressed with their vision that we donated canoes and money.
.
If you haven’t done it it already please consider giving to this incredibly important cause. The shelter they are funding is a place where women who have suffered in ways that we would have a hard time imaging in the developed world can find safety and reintegrate into society. The fundraising goal to build this is $150,000. Tom and Kyle have raised over 50,000 so far. Be the person that makes the difference. Please like this post, and more importantly go to their Instagram and like their post from today. If you haven’t checked out their Instagram already the videos they been posting every day are just amazing. Help Tom and Kyle go viral! Thank you. -Brian
