Video: Urban sailing with the canoe catamaran

While working on a project this morning I found this lovely clip from last summer. I like this because it shows how responsive the canoe cat is to sail steering only on downwind courses.
.
Notice how Liz slacks out her sail a little bit and the slight change in lift vector shifts our course about 20° then after a few seconds down wave, I slack out my sail to shift us back.
.
Also 5+ mph in 12 mph of wind with 3.2 total meters of canvas is pretty darn good speed! The secret is light boats, no foils or rudders, and using weight shift and sails to steer.
.
Can’t wait for summer.
