On YouTube: Testing the latest solo skin on frame canoe

We just posted a new video on the Cape Falcon YouTube channel showing all the testing we’ve been doing with the latest solo. Being my last canoe build for 2021 I made sure to pack this video with design info and tons of eye candy.
.
As usual I’m not sure that I’m the best person to evaluate the performance of my designs, but from a subjective point of view, I really like paddling this latest generation of boats.
.
Looking ahead to the future, to push these designs to the next level I’m probably gonna have to get a lot of on the water, in person, feedback from serious soloists, so I’ve been toying with the idea of building a fresh pair and taking them on the road for a month or two next spring.
.
Equally as important though is to start drilling down into the tandems. I’m just starting to get the first reports of really “good” tandems built with our system, and there’s a couple student boats I’d like to reproduce to see how I feel in them.
.
As always thank you to everyone who takes the course and builds one of these boats. From a design perspective the sheer volume of iteration allows me to evolve the designs so much faster then if it was just me building boats. Anyway, bounce over to YouTube if that interests you and enjoy the video!
